Regular days are held throughout the year where you can see the"Artists in Action". Come along & watch & learn a new art & craft or just delight in watching the talented crafts people demonstrating their many & varied skills. Pottery, wood turning, beading, silk dying, felting, outback saw painting, patchwork, leadlight, rope making, spinning, weaving, wood burning, card making, jewellery & wood work are just some of the arts & crafts you can see being demonstrated. Watch how the treadle lathe turns a simple piece of timber into a miniature wine goblet, vase, toadstool or spinning top. We have proudly been selling 100% locally made arts & crafts since opening here at Takura, Hervey Bay in 1991.

"The Wood Working Cottage". You can often see demonstrations with the old shave horse , pump drills & pole lathe. It is fascinating to learn how honey is produced. Wonderful items can be made with the bees wax.
